General Info

1 When is the marathon? Sunday, February 4, 2018
2 Who is the host hotel? TBD
3 What time does it start? The half and full marathoners will begin together at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time
4 Where do I pick up my race packet? Packet pickup is at the race expo on Saturday, February 3rd at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time, location TBD. Participants who live outside of the Tallahassee area also have the option of picking up their packets beginning at 6:30 at the starting line on race morning.
5 Bag Check? Bag check is available at the race morning packet pickup area, which will begin at 6:30 at the starting line.
6 Where is the start line? On North Monroe Street, in front of the Leon County Courthouse (downtown Tallahassee)
7 Where is the finish line? On Duval Street, in front of Kleman Plaza (downtown Tallahassee) and right behind City Hall
8 What is the age minimum for race? 16 on race day for marathon. 14 on race day for half marathon. Anyone under 18 must have a waiver signed by parent or guardian
9 Moving to a different distance Email tallahasseemarathon@gmail.com to make the change
10 Deferments We will not be offering deferments/refunds for any future races and your registrations can not be transferred to another runner. All sales are final.
11 Where can I park? If you are staying at the host hotel, you are within walking distance of packet pickup, the starting line, and the finish line. Parking for the expo and race day is available at the parking garage beneath Kleman Plaza, 306 S. Duval Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32301. For the expo, you may enter the parking garage through both the Duval Street and Bronough Street entrances. However, on race day, you may access the Kleman Plaza parking garage via Bronough Street only. A second public parking garage is located at the corner of South Calhoun Street and East College Avenue behind the Leon County Courthouse. Street parking is also available both days.

Course

1 What is the time limit for the race? There is a 6-hour cutoff for both races. As a result, all half marathon participants must maintain a pace of 27:48 minutes per mile or faster, and all full marathon participants must maintain a pace of 13:44 per mile or faster. Participants who fall behind the cutoff times must move to the sidewalk and be responsible for their own safety, as police and aid station support on the course will not be available beyond the cutoff times.
2 Water/Medical Stations Aid stations will be provided every 2-3 miles along the course. They will have water, Gatorade, and at certain locations, energy gels. Medical stations will be provided along the course as well to assist with minor issues.
3 Porta Potties These will be provided along the course at least every (2) miles
4 Marathon/Half Marathon Course Split Look for the signs and volunteers directing you to the half marathon split.

Medical

1 What if I have an emergency on the course? Ambulance crews are stationed along the course and FSU Medical Response Units on campus are ready to mobilize.

Expo

1 Where/When is the EXPO? The race expo is on Saturday, February 3rd at 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time, location TBD.
2 Can I register and pick up my race packet at the EXPO? Yes, from 11-5

3 Can someone else pick up my race packet? Yes, but the race is not responsible for anyone whose packet is picked up by another individual. There will be limited race day pick up.
