1 When is the marathon? Sunday, February 3, 2019
2 Who is the host hotel? The host hotel is the DoubleTree, which is conveniently located a block from the start and the finish. A special group rate of $109 is available, and the hotel is offering a complimentary early breakfast for the group. Reserve your room online here, or if you prefer to call, mention group code TLM.
3 What time does it start? All races will begin together at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time
4 Where do I pick up my race packet? TBD
5 Bag Check? Bag check is available on race morning starting at 6 a.m. at the Leon County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL 32301. The courthouse is right next to the starting line.
6 Where is the starting line? The starting line is on Monroe Street just north of the Florida Capitol and outside of the Leon County Courthouse, 301 S. Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL 32301.
7 Where is the finish line? The finish line is on Duval Street in front of Kleman Plaza, 306 S. Duval St., Tallahassee, FL 32301.

9 Deferments? Refunds? We will not be offering deferments for any future races. We also cannot offer refunds, as pre-registration fees are used to pay for shirts and other race expenses incurred well ahead of race day. In limited cases and in the discretion of race directors, we may be able to offer refunds to runners who are willing to volunteer on race day. You may also transfer your registration to a friend for no extra cost. Contact the race directors at marathon@gulfwinds.org
10 Where can I park? If you are staying at the host hotel, you are within walking distance of packet pickup, the starting line, and the finish line. Parking for the expo and race day is available at the parking garage beneath Kleman Plaza, 306 S. Duval Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32301. For the expo, you may enter the parking garage through both the Duval Street and Bronough Street entrances. However, on race day, you may access the Kleman Plaza parking garage via Bronough Street only. A second public parking garage is located at the corner of South Calhoun Street and East College Avenue behind the Leon County Courthouse. Street parking is also available both days.


1 What is the time limit for the race? All half marathon participants must maintain a pace of 15 minutes per mile or faster, and all full marathon and relay participants must maintain a pace of 13:44 per mile or faster (6-hour marathon pace). Participants who fall behind the cutoff times must move to the sidewalk and be responsible for their own safety, as police and aid station support on the course will not be available beyond the cutoff times. Thank you for your understanding.
2 Water/Medical Stations Aid stations will be provided every 2-3 miles along the course. They will have water, Gatorade, and at certain locations, energy gels. Medical stations will be provided along the course as well to assist with minor issues.
3 Porta Potties These will be provided along the course at least every (2) miles
4 Marathon/Half Marathon Course Split Look for the signs and volunteers directing you to the half marathon split.


1 What if I have an emergency on the course? Ambulance crews are stationed along the course and FSU Medical Response Units on campus are ready to mobilize.

2 Can I register and pick up my race packet at the EXPO? Yes
3 Can someone else pick up my race packet? Yes, but the race is not responsible for anyone whose packet is picked up by another individual. There will be limited race day pick up.
